The

Hills' charming town of Kent, is a family-owned and operated business.
Dolph and Audrey Traymon opened the Fife 'n Drum Restaurant on January
20, 1973. The Traymon family has maintained their personal commitment
to fine food, music, and service for over three decades. We look

The
David Armstrong Room,
on your left upon entering the Fife 'n Drum, offers a dining experience
that is casual by day, and dramatic by night. With its high ceilings,
large fireplace, brick and wood paneled decor, this room is used
for lunch and dinner each day. On the walls are the prints of late
local artist, David Armstrong. These marvelous prints are a tribute
to Kent: several are favorite local spots of the artist in and around
town: "Numeral Rock" and "Old Barn" while the
portraits are of people who the artist grew up with, "The Old
Man," his father Bill Armstrong, a legendary master at Kent
School and "Eric Sloane" weatherman, fellow artist and
collector of Americana. At night time, owner Dolph Traymon enhances
the dining experience and plays piano on his Steinway piano bar.

The
Eric Sloane Room
is located just to the right as you walk in to the restaurant. The
elegant ambiance of the room is the more formal side of the Fife
'n Drum. The walls are decorated with signed artist proofs by the
late New England artist Eric Sloane. The beamed low ceiling dining
room, a construction style typical of the early 1900's, is now used
mostly for private parties, meetings, and holiday dinners. Small
Weddings, Private Parties, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Conferences,
Private Luncheons, and Dinners are all part of the services offered
by the Fife 'n Drum.
the

What
was once parking space, then a patio, is the newest addition to
the Fife 'n Drum. Opened on January 20, 2003, in conjunction with
the 30th Anniversary of the restaurant, the Glass Room, boasts its
own fireplace and adds warmth and cheeriness to the David Armstrong
Room area. Lunch and Dinner are served in this room, and it is perfect
for small gatherings.
